The guest house is at the Indian border with Bhutan next to the river Manas. On a full moon night the view is mesmerizing. Mathanguri guest house has two properties one is called the upper bungalow which is a heritage building and the other is the newly constructed lower bungalow and at night traveling between the two is only on vehicle. If you are in group then try to get all booking in one bungalow. The rooms in the lower bungalow are better in terms of facilities. But for dinner one has to come to the restaurant located next to the upper bungalow. Food is very basic and limited to egg for non veg. Price of food is quite reasonable. For activities u have river rafting which needs to be booked at entrance gate of the park. Tourists visiting the upper bungalow all day long as it is a tourist spot too. Regarding day safari in the national park the vehicle are available from the Entry gate which takes you through the jungle and stops at few watch towers and finally at Mathanguri forest bungalow then returns back via slightly different path.
