Ramathra Fort

Ramathra Fort lies between two of India’s internationally famous wildlife reserves. Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur and Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur. The closest wilderness area, Kailadevi national Park, is just 15 Kms away.

The Fort, The Lake and countryside are the three big attractions of Ramathra Fort. The ideal season to enjoy Ramathra is between the months of October and March. Regardless of how much time you have to spend, or how much you wish to do, the adventure is yours. Whether you prefer to stay home and take in the fort’s tranquil atmosphere or wish to explore its many natural sites, your hosts at Ramathra promise you a memorable stay.

 

Karauli City Palace

City Palace of Karauli is a 14ht century Palace which was built with amazing architectural stuff like beautiful sculptures and stucco work.

It was the royal residence of the royal family of Karauli till 1938 when the family shifted to the Bhanwar Vilas Palace.

Diwan-i-Aam‘ has attractive work on the walls with floral patterns colored with bright colors.

Used by the king to met his subjects and discuss important work, this hall’s upper floor has marvelous jaali work on the walls from where Ranis could watch over the proceedings of the hall.

Another hall – Rang Mahal known for its magnificent cloured glass ‘Jharokhas’ and mirror theme spreads from the hall, walls to bedrooms. ‘Barahdwari’ – a hall for women dancing purpose has a line of portraits of the Kings.

City Palace was gifted to the Madan Mohan Trust ( the sole trustee of which was Raja of Karauli) in order to avoid taxes. Now the restoration of the palace is going on.

Day 1- Ex Delhi/ Jaipur

  • Pick up from Delhi/Jaipur airport
  • After 8 hours’ drive, we will check in Ramathra fort.
  • Boating At Sunset in the Kalisil dam.
  • Overnight stay

Day2- Karauli City Tour

  • A day-trip to Karauli – Visit Karauli city palace and the temple of Madanmohanji.
  • Night Drive into the Buffer Zone of Kaila Devi National Park.
  • Overnight stay.

Day3- Ramathra Fort

  • Relax and today we will explore Ramathra Village Trail and trek to old fort ruins.
  • After lunch we will do bird watching.
  • Overnight stay.

Day4- Ramathra - Delhi/Jaipur

  • After breakfast, we leave for Jaipur/Delhi airport

      CANCELLATION POLICY:

    • Cancellation for an event will be considered via a written mail to [email protected]

        • The date of the mail would be considered for the calculation of the cancellation fee.

      REFUND POLICY:

      •If cancellations are made 30days before the start date of the trip,40% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
      •If cancellations are made 15-30days before the start date of the trip,75% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
      •No refund if cancellation is made between 0-15 days of the event.
      •No refund for un-utilised services.
